SCOC 2nd Give-A-Way Event 2/26/2025

We just wanted to share some of the photos from our 2nd event. We met so many beautiful individuals and so many of them expressed their dreams and aspirations and most of all their needs. We made up boxes of feminine items, gave out women's and men's clothes. Oh man did we have a bunch of men's clothes this time with the help & support of Brother Tyler of Liberation Las Vegas, an outreach organization similar to ours. We had men's accessories and shoes, hats, sweats, short and long sleeve shirts, interview clothing and even a plus size male suit. Big 5 donated a $25. gift card and SCOC put another $7 bucks with it and bought a size 11 1/2 Spaulding pair of tennis shoes. We waited the entire time asking men who participated what size shoe they wore and at the very end, a lumber jack of a looking fellow who had to be about 6'3 or 6'4 just walks up as we were packing everything away. I asked him his shoe size and he says, "11 1/2 or 12". I proudly handed him the box of shoes and he walked off into the sunset! It was a wonderful day full of giving and obtaining information in preparation of our transitional home and outpatient facility that we will soon be opening.

Good people with goals & dreams just like us.

Thanks Costco, we were able to purchase a box of Emergen-C packs to give away with Kirkland waters to help with a little Vitamin C boost! Lots of tangerines, and those good old chocolate chip, oatmeal and macadamia nut cookies. We also used money that was donated and bought 100 pieces of Albertson's chicken and Hawaiian rolls.

Everyone who participated received something they could use. So happy for our progress and the ability to fellowship in the community. Just to be able to come with a variety of things that can be used is so meaningful. Thanks to the Sistas of San Bernardino, Sista Janice for donating the women's clothes and made and bought blankets to give-a-way. We are so grateful!
